The story
Stephen and Leia’s day had no awkward warm-up at all. I arrived early at Leia’s home, and everyone was already chatty and laughing before the gatecrash even began.
When Stephen arrived, the games started at the lift lobby, then moved into the house with ang bao moments before he came in. Fast pace, lots of jokes, and very little “please act serious.”
After the morning rush, I went with them to Jurong Lake Gardens for portraits. Leia’s bridesmaids kept teasing her to “be demure,” and that became the running joke of the shoot. I had to stop myself from laughing a few times because nobody was taking that instruction seriously. Golden hour arrived at the right time and gave us beautiful light across the park.
In the evening, tea ceremony and solemnisation continued before banquet. They specifically asked for those evening moments to be included in their Same Day Edit, so the banquet screening carried more of the full day arc for family and friends.
