The story
This was a very early morning start because it was a lunch wedding day.
Joey chose to wear a kua in the morning, and I loved that decision. Her veil was red instead of white, and with the hair accessories she picked, the whole oriental look came together beautifully. When Boon Kiat arrived in a matching outfit, it looked even better on camera.
Their gatecrash happened below the void deck, and they cleared the games quickly. I remember thinking wah, they were really efficient and ready to move. After fetching the bride, I followed them to Pan Pacific Marina Square for couple and bridal party portraits. We shot outside Keyaki Japanese Restaurant because of the Japanese vibe, and personally I loved that setting.
They also did their letter exchange outside Keyaki Japanese Restaurant, which made that whole portrait segment feel even more personal. After that, we continued with tea ceremony at the function room. Then I had to edit their lunch same day edit within 2.5 hours. Tight turnaround, but we made it in time.
One detail I really remember from this wedding is they stayed in their oriental outfits for most of the day, then changed into gown and suit for their second march in.
